I've ordered some flexible Nylon tubing to use with the second ViAir setup as the Poly tubing I'm using doesn't hold up in the engine bay. Is it possible to bend the Nylon to shape with a heat gun and pipe bender without weakening it?

Got the Nylon tubing today;no need to bend it, its much more flexible than the the OM tubing. But, much stiffer/stronger than the Poly tubing I was using and hopefully it will hold.

You can give permanent bend to Nylon tubing as under;

  • Put a spring inside the tube.
  • Take a soft copper or aluminum rod or pipe.
  • Bend this metal rod or pipe as per your bending need.
  • Now tie up your nylon tubing along with bove metal fixer.
  • Put the complete assembly in hot boiling water for 5-10 mints.
  • Quench it immediately in water, preferably cold.
  • Done.
