Hi,

I've just bought a new flatbed trailer and my 2002 Range Rover already had the VUB000730 detachable tow bar fitted, but its too low down for the trailer to sit level.

I have seen the multi height towbar VUB000720 but before I spend over £300 on it, I want to make sure it goes up high enough (I need 46cm from ground to middle of towbar ball).

Does anyone have one of these on their RR and could measure the distance from the ground to the centre of the towing ball if it were on its highest setting??

Many Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help!!

Regards, Matt

Don't know if this will help you but my bar has a "drop" to it and it was too low. I ended up removing the ball, turning the bar upside down and re-installing the ball thus raising it to the proper height.

Matt,

Sorry I can't answer your question directly but, in case it helps, the Range Rover accessories brochure quotes the lowest position as being 360mm from the ground, so the question is - are the top and bottom hole sets at least 4" apart?

Phil
