I have a 2009 RRS SC and I'm trying to rid the truck of rattles. I have the usual tailgate ones which I have found solutions for but I have not found any solution for my sunroof rattle.
If I have the sliding shade closed it rattles loudly on uneven roads.
If I partially open the panel the rattles are reduced but will still happen on sharp bumps.
If I fully open the panel the rattles are worse than when the panel is closed.
There is vertical movement of the panel when pushed up by hand.
If I push up on the panel all the rattles stop.
The sunroof itself causes no squeaks or leaks.
Anyone come across this issue before?

I have the same symptoms on our 2013 RRS. I've done some research on here but so far no solution other than dropping the headliner and possibly installing a new sunroof console...

My current fix is to close the shade and wedge a folded napkin on both sides at the back of the shade. Starbucks napkins contrast nicely with the ivory headliner. Classy, I know

Here's hoping someone has found a solution and can share.
