Hi everyone,

I bought a WiFi hotspot for my car en lieu of the SIM card. But it keeps going dead every few days. It looks like I don't drive long-enough distances to let it recharge enough. The hotspot does have a battery-saver mode, but it turns off the device after 10 minutes of not being used.

I'm thinking of running a direct connection to the battery. But I don't know if having the hotspot always on would be enough to drain the battery. I do drive my car every day, several times a day; mostly short distances of 2-5 miles each way.

What do you guys think?
