Hi All
My 2008 L322 had a touch of the gremlins yesterday when the alternator warning light came on, stayed on for a few stops/starts and a few miles then for no reason went out again. Bearing in mind I was miles from home a had to drive back with headlights and wipers on I was much relieved that is seemed to have started charging again or I would have ben stranded with a flat battery half way home .
Has anyone else had anything like this? My thoughts are a possible connection problem-any idea where to start looking please?
Thanks
John

based on your report you have a failing brush in the alternator swapping in a new regulator could fix it or swapping in a fresh alternator should cure it

Thanks for the reply, must confess that was my second thought as well, did a brush stick up and the jump back into contact. No one has come back with known connection issues yet.
On other vehicles I have in the past had multiplugs go bad on me .
Thanks

Other than checking the battery connections twist them.
NOTE if the terminals are loose a few strands of copper wire inserted into the terminal interface will restore connectivity.
and the bolted wire connections checked for tightness.
the brush thing is where i would look
