With the air susp inactive fault and a new spring unit going in the front left side how do you refill the new spring to take the load until the dealer can reset the air susp inactive fault?

My recollection is when I replaced mine, I they filled up, but the light didn't correct itself. I think I reset my fault with All Comms.

You can't if you're in hard fault (lights on the air suspension status are all out). You need to clear the code one way or another before the system comes back online and fills the bags. If you're not in hard fault (light on the suspension status are on and it's telling you it's in standard) once you're done and assuming there aren't any other problems it'll fill the deflated bag to match standard ride height.
