Hello everyone

I have RR 2018 Vouge SE and my problem is that it doesn't have rear screens for my children.

Any recommendations to install the screens and sync between them and if possible, control both of them from my phone or any other way?

Thanks

Having rear seat entertainment in 2018 is about as useful as having a VHS player in your home theater. Buy an ipad for each of your kids, download some movies, you're good to go for half the price and twice the capability.

x2, we have the Rear Entertainment Option, kids use the iPad every time (with a seat mount and noise cancelling headphones). Better resolution, better quality, more media content.

I have RSE in a Vogue MY18. Control it from the front screen. Have so far around 30 movies on a 64GB USB stick, works also good. The only thing is that the software is a bit buggy. Sometimes it’s not possible to change movie and I need to turn off and off the RSE system to get it to work and there is no menu to change sound language for the movies but hopefully this will be solved later on with an software upgrade. My kids loves the system and I do not regret it.

With the tablet route, you can even buy an external drive/wireless hotspot, load all the movies onto that and then have your viewer point to is...make it even easier to have a tablet without a ton of memory and definitely a cheaper/more capabilities route!!!

Thanks everyone

iPad option with seat holder is a good option, but I don't want my children to be able to pick it up and play with it.

I found some options were I can sync between the two screens and having android OS with Range Rover logo appears when switching on the engine.

I might try it, but not now

2019 arrived finally. Love the rear entertainment system. Thought about the ipad, but the integration with the overall system is pretty awesome.

Back with an update.
I've installed two android tablets designed for rear seats as seen in the picture.
I connected both of them to the car's wifi and open youtube, plex, or any video streaming service.
When the tablets turn on thry display range rover logo.
Feel free to ask any questions.

That's pretty sweet, can you provide the link for the tablets as well as the mounting hardware? Nice job!

I just want to note that the tablets will not turn on automatically when you turn on the engine, however they will turn off when the engine is turned off.

Also, a small issue that I'm facing is if the car started the Auto Start/Stop and stayed for a long time, the screens will turn off. I don't know if the issue is from me or all other range rovers.

So they are hardwired?

What did you use for your mounting hardware?

Thanks for you input

I think that is an issue with the start-stop system and not your specific unit. I think that there was a recent post in the L405 forum about this occurring with hard-wired radar detectors. If I remember correctly, someone mentioned adding a voltage regulator to correct for this:

Oh thank you for posting this, now I new that the cause is certainly the auto start/stop. But for now, I'll just disable the auto start/stop when I use the rear screens.

No, they are not hardwired. There is another screens that are connected to the fuse box, but when I asked my dealer he said if I did anything to the fuse box my warranty will be voided. So I just bought these and connected them with the two rear cigarette lighter sockets. I was planning to insert the wires inside the seats but I didn't know how to do it. The headrest mount is included with the screens.
