Just installed a new fuel pump, I had about 5 gal in the tank.
After reconnecting the battery and starting it up, my truck read zero fuel with the yellow light on.
I went to the gas station and put in a few more gallons, still reads zero fuel. I know that I connected everything correctly.

Did I break my fuel level sensor?

Back when I owned a e46 i remember reading on the forums that it could take a day or two for the level sensor to get a correct reading after a pump replacement. Is this the same situation?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

It could also be that the level sensor was positioned improperly and it settled back into place after a few days. At this point you should check and see if your sensors are reading accurately— you can check the digital readouts by accessing the secret cluster menu (http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/6-range-rover-mark-iii-l322/30605-hidden-menu.html) and going to test no. 6. Then you can add some gas and see if the sensors read the added gas accurately (converting from gallons to liters as necessary).
