Check basics like:

Spark plugs (how do the tips look? are all plugs the same heat range?)
Fuel filter (are you getting enough fuel into the motor?)
Air filter (is there any obstructions in the air filter or piping?)
MAF sensor (is the plug loose on the sensor? does the sensor check out in resistance Ohm test?)

I presume as you changed the engine you have the workshop manual?

you would be wrong. no books ! if had would,nt ask. i can drive 500 km to book, thought this way easier....
Or you could do a search for the workshop manual, download it and look up the data yourself? Or you could wait for someone else to look it up for you...

Here you go: http://www.landroverweb.com/Land-Rover-Range-Rover-manual-pdf.htm

I think the forum should be here to help but sometimes a quick search on Google & Forum search can yield surprising results.

The above was the first result for "range rover workshop manual download" on Google.
You might want to try the RAVE manual as that one is a bit cut down, missing export version info and stuffs:

http://www.rangeroverdatabase.pwp.bluey ... loads.html

At this first post when you searched for "Workshop Manual" the second post yielded relevant results, now it is 5 posts down. The reason why it's difficult to search for things on RR.net is because of the repeat posts for info that is there already. Which then makes it impossible for anyone to find the info required unless you happen to know where it is.

Perhaps we could ask ADMIN for a locked thread at the top with details of all downloadable Land Rover Manuals, Rave, Microcat & Ting? Seems to be a recurring request man...
We're not allowed.... the above links will be removed if a mod spots them, so get them whilst they're "hot"

thanks for that have looked and downloaded . but not sure theat the downloads apply to 4.6 ? and that fuel system

If you have the 4.6 your in the wrong part of the forum and need to be in the P38 side. You need to fill out your signature then people will know what car you're talking about...
