I sold the Corvette to get into something more family friendly. I found a 2006 RRS S/C black w black interior. 54k miles so no warranty. 1 owner car looks to be in excellent condition, passed the Land Rover inspection, has all the bells and whistles including DVD, Cold Weather, ETC... anyway the dealers list price was 41k but i talked him down to 38k out the door which obviously includes tax tags and title. so about 34.5 for the car not including tax tag title

Is this a good deal or should i keep looking?

Thank you in advance for your advice

Depends on location.... but seems like original asking price was a bit steep. However, your negotiated deal with tax and licensing all included seems like a decent deal assuming it is in great shape and clean. Have fun and good luck.

thanks for the feedback. the dealer told me they were in it for 35k but i doubt thats the truth. car looks and feels to be in excellent shape no dents dings etc and shifts smooth.
If you've not done so, have the dealership pull down all the service history on the car and check that nothing's missing and the car is up to date with software updates. If there are lots of visits to the shop stay away, you don't want one built the day before or after a British holiday.

Make sure you look through the forum posts here for common issues and check for those carefully.

And good luck.

Exactly, and make sure it's one with electric blinkers and not the awful hydraulic ones present on early builds.

Hey when you're a hammer every problem is a nail. I have a warehouse full of LR blinker fluid to move.

zosick, enjoy it bro! You will like it. Take your girl away for the weekend in it, somewhere cool, don't get cheap. After she's ridden on your new RRS, she'll totally be able to tell if you went cheap in the hotel or anything for that matter.

It sounds like a reasonable deal. FWIW I paid $28k for a '06 RRS SC with 70k on the clock and 23 months left in an unlimited mileage extended warranty a few months back. One owner vehicle, all service records, always garaged, very clean. I kept my '02 C5 Z06 Corvette though. In fact, I just did 600 RWHP on a NA 427 build. What 'vette did you have?

First i would like to say thank you for all the advice. Second is i pulled the trigger and i couldnt be happier. that was the best 3 hour drive home of my life.

Congrats! It's a very different vehicle than the C5Z but a lot of fun in its own way. Looks great, good buy.
