I've got an 87 rangie that has the manual cloth seats - but they need TLC. I have sourced a nice, newer set of leather rrc seats but the fronts have electrical controls. Has anyone gone down this route before and retrofitted electrically adjusted seats? Any tips?

Failing that, anyone know the fuse sizing on later RRC adjustable seat circuits?

all us sold rangies cloth or leather had electric seats, the exception was the hunter edition. but in case yours did not come originally equipped with electric seats, yes you can retrofit. the best is to visit rave.

Mine's not a US-sold rover. I was hoping to be able to get away with a fused 12V line to the seat and not much else, but perhaps that's optimistic...

a simple fuse wont work, too much amperage being drawn while seats are moving with the weight of an adult. you will need to add a relay to the fuse equation in order to maintain proper current flow and not overload the circuit or overwork the seat motors.
