Hello,I need some advice on what to do here. I was removing my driver side strut, using a breaker bar to break the bottom strut bolt free since it was extremely stuck. As I was loosening, somehow the CV shaft came out! I tried sliding it back in, but there's about an inch of a gap between the front differential and the boot. I drove it around for a minute and it drives fine, just confused on whether there's supposed to be that gap or not.If not, how do I get it pushed further in? Do I need to take out the whole diff for that? Thanks for the help.

There should be a clip to hold it in place as a big pothole might accidentally pull out you CV shaft altogether.

It will clip back in, you need to make sure splines are lined up and push it back in. Will be easy to feel it clip in.
