Does anyone know if its possible to utilize the battery booster posts in the engine bay to power after-market equipment ? It would be a lot easier than going directly to the battery that’s buried under the spare.

Specifically, I have a set up on my Ram truck that enables me to power the winch on my trailer from the truck battery (battery connector with on/off switch, cabling under the vehicle to he rear where there is a connector installed that can be connected to the winch power cable). I’d like to replicate this set up on the RR so I can get rid of the Ram, but I don’t know if it’s doable.

I appreciate any suggestions and input.

I would think if those posts can be used for jumpstarting the RRS, they be able to power a winch. Can always call a dealer to double check. I would try it. I power the winch on my trailer with the 12v terminal from the 7 pin connecter connected to the stock RRS wiring which has been fine.
