Ok so I need to replace the fan belt on the AC (compressor) it looks like to me I have to
1. Pull fan shroud
2. pull fan
3. remove fan belt
4. put on the new belt
5. replace the fan belt
etc etc -
am I seeing this correctly, seems like alot of trouble for the AC belt - but since its 103 today - and summers just getting started - time to bite the bullet!

i would say no you dont have to pull fan or shroud...the ac belt has a ridgid tensioner you loosen that to remove belt...but if....and i woulod have to look.... there are other belts in front of that belt...i believe the fan belt...
remove that first..it also has a tensioner....but if you want ease of access......pull the fan and shroud....but not nesacery....
i know spelling....
good luck

I don't know Mike, seems to me i would need to get the belt over the fan, then magically pass it through the fan belt. tough to do - and its too short to go over the fan as well. The AC belt is behind (the back pulley)

it can be done the way Mikieman suggests, but it is much easier with fan and shroud removed, better and easier access to install and tension.
