Ive had the TC and ABS lights on since i got the truck last year, I have already checked to make sure the wheel sensors are seated. My question is, can I diagnose this myself without paying 100 bucks to have it scanned? I know that my ABS is not working as when under hard breaking it just locks up no ABS studder. Does this also disable the traction control as it works by braking the wheel without traction? Your input is appreciated.

I think it was malafax who opened up his hubs and found that the sprocket type deals in there that send signals to the wheel sensors were all gummed up. He fixed his system up just by cleaning it out really well. Try a search for that and it might help you out a bit. At the worst you'll lose an afternoon, but at the best you'll have a working system again...for free.

Not to say that that is for sure your problem, but you never know.
