Looking for the above as mine is dead second hand or new obviously not if its going to cost me an arm and a leg

Yes big tears! I can source one locally for R3500.00 its a second hand unit but the plan is to use the two to make a newer one

Well, my pump went bad this year, but instead of buying a second-hand one or a brand new one, I went with the rebuild route. Cost was $250USD, and took only a day. You may have to do a bit of a search to find a motor rebuild shop that'll take on the job, but technically any automotive alternator/starter rebuild shops should be able to do it.

Another option would be to do it DIY. lrscott did a write up on this, so you may want to reference it.
