abs pressure switch

Hey, I was able to buy the abs pump pressure switch separtely from the pump itself. I tried searching for the replacement procedure instructions but no luck. Does anyone have instructions on how this replacement is done? I don't really want to be messing around with a highly pressurized pump without knowing something about it.

Thanks

Hi

Before you start make sure you do not have any pressure left in the system by pressing the brake pedal 30 times without the ignition on. Unscrew the pressure switch after unclipping the wire connection and pulling it out. Screw in new unit make sure the o-ring is in good condition and lubed with oil. Reinstall wiring and bleed brakes as per workshop manual instructions.

Good luck

I have a '98 range rover (4.6 HSE) and have determined the brake pressure switch is bad. Where did you buy the switch? British Atlantic says the entire pump must be replaced? I already replaced the accumulator and relay - no voltage to the pump unless you tap on the pressure switch, then the pump starts running.

I will be much obliged.
