You don't run a K&N filter without oil. You may as well just remove the filter and use nothing. :naughty: It's the oil that catches the particulate matter (filters the air).
But on the bright side, I don't know of any K&N filters that don't come pre-oiled. :thumb:
Just as Pokerplayer said, don't use too much oil, or it'll coat your MAF sensor, & you'll have to clean that off.
If you're not comfortable cleaning & oiling your filter, either have a shop do it (if they will) or use a disposable one.
P.S. - The range Rover filter is nothing like the BMW filter.
