Hi,

New to the forum. I just bought a 95 Classic that's stuck in 4 Hi. No problem right? Just remove the solenoid. Did that and it's still stuck. Am I missing something? Any suggestions?

Welcome aboard, Salt. I dunno other than gummed up linkage, as mines older. An adult will be along and help you shortly :mrgreen:

Thx for the reply! Good news and bad news. Good first; I gave it the old college try, and vwala! It worked. Now for the bad news. Once I started to exercise it back and forth to really loosen her up, the linkage rod snaped. I'm looking for a new one now. Any parts resources would be appreciated. Thx!

stiff bushing underneat, clean it off and soak with penetrating oil. once free use lots of white grease
