hmmm the factory system on my 94 was rather simple to bypass, as I fitted an aftermarket remote central locking kit, and simply wired it into where the factory "spider" sits behind the glovebox.

That being said, I don't know where you are in the world and you might have a differen't setup than mine, I think the NAS spec ones are differen't. But with the help of rave and a paperclip bent and put in the right spot you can easily disable engine imobilisation, after mucking about a bit behind the dash.

But its siomething you want to do properly or you will just end up setting the alarm off and having hazard lights flashing etc.

I can jump start no problems with screwdriver but thats not sustainable.

Maybe try a new Bonnet (Hood) switch? :think:
