I've been driving my '93 LWB for 10 yrs now still with that big tank thing bolted to the right side frame rail, and still with the wheel-height sensors at the wheels, when it's been converted to coils long before i owned it. Is there any value to that apparatus bolted to the frame rail? If it IS an air tank, and the pump is still good, can it be used as a low-volume on-board air, just for fun?

You could quite easily use it for on board air, the box on the right contains the pump and valve block. The tank is the cylinder mounted on the left chassis rail. You would need to bypass the ECU, which is not difficult. The parts would be good to sell as spares otherwise. I guess there is no guarantee any of it works though.
