I have a 1988 Range Rover Classic with the 3.5 that I recently rebuilt. It is still running the 13CU EFI. The truck starts up and runs fine, but the condensor fans are constantly on with the occasional EFI light. Through some reading, I found that the 13CU does not control the condensor fans. I pulled the relay for the condensor fans and they are still on. They don't come on when the ignition is in the on position, only after you have started the engine. Both fans operate strong initially, but as the motor warms up, their speed diminishes. If the 13CU doesn't control them, what is causing them to operate? I have some other issues, but I'm trying to fix one thing at a time. Thanks for your time, Joe.

The switch for those is the sensor in the thermostat housing..kinda sounds like it was bypassed...

The condensor fans can be run from a temperature or pressure switch in the AC system, or if messed with it could be wired in parallel to the AC compressor.
