I am having trouble with the central locking
looking for the cpu I cant find it on the steering column
first fault stopped working altogether now clicking for the drivers door actuator
I would like to disconnect the power to it

the 87 did not use a cpu but rather a single master actuator in drivers door which in turn would actuate all others, it is no longer available as new replacement thus if you are trying to make it work you're out of luck.
the other option is to find and alarm and radio install shop that can sell or install a full aftermarket central power lock system.
then you have eBay with do it your self kits. retrofit to newer 1990 and up systems is almost out of the question due to complexity of the wiring.
