Hi Everyone,

I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport SC and I love the truck. I went to one of Land Rover's off-road events and brought my truck. It did great and my girlfriend and I had blast, but the 4x4 info screen continually states my RRS is in "P" Park. Long story short...It does recognize "R" reverse also, but no neutral or drive or any gears. The dealership had it for 3 weeks...Land Rover Engineers were involved and they said they would wait to hear from the engineers on next steps.

I am bringing the truck back this week to have them keep it for a few days, but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on what this could be? I have the IIDTOOL Bluetooth tool and no faults come up regarding that. The tech came out and said none of the Land Rover tech's have seen this before and he's leaning towards the 4x4 module.

Sorry for the late reply...I just saw this now. It shows up in on road and any of the specialties offroad modes. It won't recognize any gears other than park / reverse. When in any gear other than that...it just reports as "P" park on the 4 x 4 info screen.

Any help would greatly appreciated!

Actually I do have the Nav-TV module to allow an external input and video in motion...

The dealer is aware of this, but still thinks it's something else. Could that be causing a conflict with the gear indicator on the 4 x 4 screen?

That's most definitely the issue. That's how Nav-TV's video-on-the-move module works, it tricks the infotainment system into thinking the car is in Park even when it's not, so your video will play back on the front monitor regardless. The exception is reverse gear, which needs to be detected to display the feed from the rear cam when you engage it. Try disconnecting the module if you want to double check.

No big deal I guess, other than the wrong 4x4 display info nothing else should be affected.
