Hi,

Usualy I'm in the P38 section, but now I'd like to try my luck here.. ;)

I've got a P38 (4.6 HSE) and a Disco 1 (V8 ), someone did me an offer I couldn't refuse, a 4.6 GEMS for $500, so I bought it to put in my Disco, it's in and it's running.
Problem is, it's idling way to high, I put the 4.6 throtlebody/plenum on it and soldered the plugs from the TPS and the IACV on the 3.9 loom.

The wiring colors of the TPS are identical, but the colors of the IACV are somewhat matching, blue to light blue, like that.

My question, will the TPS and IACV from a 4.0/4.6 work on a 3.9 loom/injection system?

I would like to keep the 4.6 throttle body on the engine if possible.

Thanks for any advice :)

no, 4.0/4.6 uses an efi system known as gems. 3.9 uses 14cux, totally different parameters.
you must stick with the 3.9 plenum in order to make your idle target.
