Are these interchangeable. They are both the 14 hole type. I have found one but need to confirm in case the head is cracked as well as the head gasket blown. Cheers.

Thank you that a big relief. Took her into the garage today to have the gaskets changed so I am hoping and praying that it will just be them. I have found some 3.5 and 3.9 heads just in case at reasonable prices. I suppose the killer would be if it is the block itself :crybaby2:

If it is just the gaskets then I might chuck some of that irontite ceramic sealer stuff in later just in case anyway. It is only £30.

Although it is a 1994 and one of the last before the soft dash it does not have a fault display LED under the seat. Is there any other way of checking for faults?

you can get a fault code reader for the 14cux injection system and there are some software and leads also available i have one of the original 14cux dealer code readers which also does the eas and a testbook which is again what the dealer has
