2023 RR Sport Dynamic SE - Delivered with few issues

All,

I am new to the forum and just got the delivery of RR Sport Dynamic SE (2023) model. Fantastic car and amazing build quality.

First day of driving, I have noticed few things, wanted to make sure if anyone else faced the same issue. The car is clean and all sensors/camera area are clean. With that said

1. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, I have started seeing the following error "Emergency braking and Lane Assistance not available". This is turned off (unable to turn on) for over 95% of the time. Some times it does turn on when I enable using the steering wheel button. But other 95% of the time, it just says, it is disabled.
2. I am able to open Fuel filler door while the car is locked. This is my first Range Rover, hence I am not sure this is ok. As anyone can dump crap in to the fuel tank.
3. Auto High beam assist - wondering how this works for USA spec?
4. Any work around to use polarized sunglasses with head up display?

I know my note is little longer. Just want to get as much details as I can from the experts here

Hi, welcome to the group and Congratulations!

For the first issue, it is not normal, get it checked by a dealer. Second item on your list is normal, all RRs are coming with unlocked fuel door except the PHEV ones, if I remember correctly, mine is also unlocked while car is locked.

3 and 4 I have no idea, maybe some other members might be able to chime in.

4. Polarized glasses will be a problem with all HUD’s. Solution? Buy non polarized glasses. As simple as it gets.
1. I have the same issue on a new delivery also. If you get any info please let me know. My sales rep advised to come in so they can run the car for codes but I haven’t had time.

First off, Congrats on getting the RRS! I know you've been waiting a while. Would appreciate a thread with pics and your entire experience with the RRS. There are those of us with a long wait that live vicariously through you guys.

Ok good news. They found the problem being the front radar plate was mounted vertically instead of horizontal. (Inside the bumper) looks like mistake from the factory. This works now. However

There are Issues not fixed.

1. head up display did not show navigation turns on the HUD. ( it becomes blank and no display)
2. Ambiance lighting is only one colour not configurable. ( really?)

You have to select the Navigation in HUD settings, if you have selected it already then it will show the direction once it announce any upcoming turn or instruction, it won't show navigation continuously, its weird but it is what it is.

For ambient lighting, there is already a thread, look at it, you might find the right solution based on when did you order your car.
Correct, I have selected the Navigation in the HUD settings in the HUD settings and when the "Direction aero/map" is about to be displayed, I can see the HUD display make empty space for the map (where the map usually displayed) but non comes up. Almost looks like it is attempting to display but except the street name nothing comes up.
I have 2023 RR Sport Dynamic SE with Technology pack. It should work but it is not.
That's strange, mine shows a map layout (streets/lanes) and a directional arrow, it shows above speed, little right to above speed. Its not the best HUD interface though, it seems poorly designed, the navigation appears to be over laying on speed and "D". LR could have designed it better by just showing the simple arrow and street to turn to show it clearly, right now it seems everything cramped together when map direction appears on HUD.

Yes the design is compact. I can see the drive gear display goes out for it to display the direction but it didn’t display anything but blank.
Looks like engineering has to look.
Thanks for the details
