Hi Tyost,

I work for a large JLR dealership in DFW as a lead diagnostic specialist (fancy name for foreman) and we have seen a few L551's with this issue. I am wondering what engine specification is in your vehicle, I am mainly asking to see if your vehicle is a MHEV (Mild Hybrid) or not.

If you are unsure feel free to shoot me your VIN over PM and I would be more than happy to see what I can dig up for you.

Vincent
Hi Vincent, Wondering if you have figured out the issue. I have a 2020 Evoque and this started a few weeks ago after the factory recall for the power train module. The car has died on me five times over the last couple of weeks and three times just yesterday.

I called my local dealership and they are claiming they haven't heard of this before so looking for answers/fixes.

Thanks

We haven’t had any issues since they updated our computer system. I hope you figure it out. Incredibly frustrating experience and I know I won’t purchase another LR even though this issue seems fixed. It just doesn’t drive well and our CarPlay has a mind of its own. The entire media system is unpredictable.
They finally performed the trans module update and also a PCU update. We shall see... on a side note, any rattling on front suspension?

Hello.. Has anyone had any luck fixing this problem? My 2020 Evoque is doing the same thing and the dealership can't seem to figure out the problem.

ask your dealer to perform the transmission and PCU update. This supposedly solves the communication issue between the engine speed and transmission module. So far so good after this reprogramming. Theres a technical bulletin for it so your dealership is playing stupid.
