Hello,
I have an account with the In-control but since I got the car, I have not been able to start the engine as I wish.
Out of 12 tries daily on starting the engine, I get 11 failures..."communication error message" and ONCE it just works, but I never know when it will work.

I called the dealer, took for service, and was advised that the location of my vehicle is parked has a bad reception, however I have tried everywhere, and the same 95% of time it fails...so location cannot be the issue.

Any ideas, and one else having the same issue?

Thank you
LCL

Re: 2017 RR HSE TD6 - in-control app help

Yes...the main reason is due to JLR reinventing the wheel..I have the exact same issue 95% of the time on my '17....almost never can get the truck started remotely...Dealer always says it is a network issue...

Re: 2017 RR HSE TD6 - in-control app help

So, I found out that the SIM card in my car (you have to have data service for remote start to work) was loose, so the car wasn't properly connecting to the internet. The SIM carrier in the center console really is crappy.

After jamming the SIM in properly, remote start is 95% reliable.

InControl's awful app (it's invariably not signed in every time I need to use it) is a different matter....

with the latest version of the app, all my vehicles remote climate works every time. make sure you wait until the app connects to the car, it stops "updating" at the bottom, and it says "Vehicle last contacted just now". Also make sure you use app version 1.72 (147)

Thanks for that,
I already updated the app, however, I will try to wait until the system is updated.
Cheers

Yes, that way it works...you just gave to wait until...updated just now...messafe.
Thanks a lot.

Another issue with remote climate start !
Can anyone help?
Car starts, 15 minutes later car has no heat inside, still cold as OAT, also when I drive away, with heat on, a strong smell of CO2 burst inside of vehicle for a minute...
Why is that? Such an inefficient system?
