I hace a question,

2017 range rover sport v8

I installed myself a hitch and elextric plug. Range already had the plug so just plug and play.

But no trailer lights, question does the dealer have to activate tow? I read around that they do. Seems fishy.

Also my trailer has leds, so I hooked up some old school lights still no lights, fuse are all good.

Checked trailer with jeep all is good.
Sport no goood.

I had the dealer install mine, I believe they did software programming as I have tow options with camera after they completed the install. Also make sure you are turning on the lights on your rover in order for the lights to come on for the trailer.
