Hi,

Wondering if anyone has ideas or advice for an issue that came up today on my 2013 RR HSE.

I drove my car about 45 miles today and all was fine. Got back in my car to go home and multiple fault codes came on all at once. My car is driving fine, the fault codes are all solid amber color. It said "hit ok to clear" which I did and they went away until I turned my car off and started it up again 30 minutes later. All the same codes came back up immediately.
The codes I am getting are"
Stability Control Not Available, drive with care- amber solid light with triangle and exclamation mark
BRAKE, Emergency brake assist not available- amber solid light
Adaptive Dynamics fault- yellow solid light
HDC not available System fault- amber solid light
ABS, ABS fault- solid amber
BRAKE, Parking brake fault- solid amber light

All of these go away when I press ok on them.

The lights at the very top of my dash do not go away and they are:
The word 'BRAKE' with an amber Triangle & exclamation mark just below the word brake.
A picture of car on winding road (at least this is what it looks like) that is an amber color.
ABS with a snowflake above it is also amber.

Have you had the battery load checked? In Audis, when you get the christmas tree of lights and fault codes while the car seems to be operating OK, it's often an indicator of a dying battery.

I agree with DW. I would replace the battery if it was me. It is a little bit of a pain because you need to remove the spare and loosen the air compressor in the boot in order to gain access.

Just wanted to update and see if anyone has advice:
When the battery was checked it was at only 67% so I thought great, charge the battery and we'll be good to go.
We charged it overnight and got it to 100%. When my husband took it out, all the same codes came back on (maybe they have to be cleared out?) but he also said that the power steering and antilock brakes weren't working properly and it was stuck in the low position (where usually you can't drive more than 15mph). When he got home I started it, was able to raise it to normal height with just a push of the switch and it drove normally (even though all the same fault codes were on).
Took it on one more test drive. This time when I started it, it told me that it was in a lowered ride height, for safety. It also said that to override the lowered ride height to hold brake and button for 3 seconds, which I did, and it raised it up. It also kept saying to drive carefully as ride height was overridden. The steering was a bit stiffer, couldn't really tell anything with the brakes as I just drove through the neighborhood.
Last thing, when the large round "auto" button is depressed it is usually lit up orange. There is no light on the "auto" right now. However, if I switch it from auto to another option (say low) the "options" all light up orange.
So.... not really sure what is going on at this point

I wouldn't just "charge up" the battery, I'd replace it completely with a new one. The car is 5+ years old - is it still on the original battery?

FYI, I had a similar issue with my 2013, turned out to be a corroded main ground point in the front wheelwell. I would be tempted to say there is more of an issue than a simple battery replacement.

This sounds to me like a simple brake issue, like a defective parking brake light switch or a low brake fluid indication. Anytime a standard brake fault occurs, most stability or anti-lock system goes nuts. I would check the brake system basics first. Ray

Hi, I apologize I didn't update sooner. The problem was a broken wire up in the front left wheel well. They spliced the wire together and all was immediately fixed.
