Hi, so my 2012 Range Rover Sport supercharged 5.0L just turns off once I take my foot off the gas. I read another post talking about the timing chain guides being a problem, which makes sense now because I never knew what the ticking noise was. Basically I’ve had the truck for 5 years now it’s been an amazing truck besides that annoying ticking sound so I just wanted to know if someone could help me figuring out what to do from here now the truck was due for an oil change soon can that be a reason? The trucks check engine lights and etc are on its basically lit up like a Christmas tree for the holidays. If anyone has an experience with this problem it would be greatly appreciated

I believe your best strategy, to give you direction, is to scan the vehicle for codes. Once the codes are known, it will be easier to determine what direction to go in. Perhaps it is something as complex and expensive as timing chain guides, or as simple as a failing fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.
