Since you already went this far and likely have all the radiators empty, may be it worth taking them apart and cleaning - multiple videos show how much dirt accumulates between the sandwich layers....

It had a knock which turned out to be 2 spun conrod bearings. I brought this vehicle with the damage as the previous owner did not carry out regular oil changes and paid the price

Update - final finished rebuilding motor. Had 2 blown Conrod bearings as previous owner didnt change oil. fitted new sleeves, pistons, rings, crank and bearings. Had heads done while they were off also. Also new oil pump. Now finished putting it back together and time to drop it back in.

Nice work! I replaced my engine in my 2011 RRS without removal of the diff or the grill. It's possible and you can do it without any damage to the firewall covering etc. I decided to just replace the engine instead of rebuilding mine since it had been overheated.
