For those in the 3rd grade....I meant what geographical location??? What state? Due to the fact that it would help me know when mine might arrive?

TEN_HUT! At ease Sargent. Chill on the belittling, this is an officers forum. Not for enlisted personnel.
Maybe I can help. I'm good a dissecting and resolving issues within posts.
-----------------------------------

Being on the front lines, ibis1 has some breaking news and gives the board a heads up that some new 2011's were just delivered.

Sgtt45's initial response to ibis1's post was the single adverb "Where?" This is a rather ambiguous word, especially when used without a corresponding verb, and it could also be perceived that Sgtt45 is a bit demanding.

I believe rrtoadhall took it more as the latter, but making a wordplay on the former...and similar to the way a mother lion swats a cub...issued the curt but humorous response, "at the dealer."

Whereupon, ibis1 posts up some pictures of the autobiography to somewhat diffuse the situation.

rafa then chimes in and praises ibis1's good work.

As is usual, I attempt to interject some offbeat humor by posting a picture of Batman and Robin intended to be derogatory about the autobiography's interior/exterior color combination.

My post could have been offensive to ibis1, but even if he disagreed with my assessment he commented back in a humorous way.

Some time later in the day Sgtt45 revisits the thread. Taking offense to the initial response by rrtoadhall and to show his displeasure at such (emphasized by the use of the ???), Sgtt45 swats back and now demands to know where this delivery took place.

ibis1 then good naturedly responds back with the location.

The sharp-witted and linguistically-gifted rafa sensing that Sgtt45 is still being somewhat rude, responds in a chastising but humourous manner using military terms in deference to the letter combination Sgt in Sgtt45's nom de plume.

Sgtt45, not willing to back down, but also not willing to concede any ground to either rafa or rrtoadhall (and I might add without saying thank you to ibis1 for his response) issues some parting words in response to rafa's post. Unable to find a Cheshire Cat smile in the emoticons, Sggt45 punctuates his response with the closest emoticon.

gooseyloosey,

That's a pretty good dissertation on those reply's. As for your Batman and Robin remark, I agree with your assessment of that color combination. I shot that one for that reason. A lot of owners never see some of the off the wall color combinations. What ever floats your boat, but at selling time you exclude a lot of the mainstream buyers. ibis1 ;)

Regarding my briefing on this thread, I have lots of friends in therapy, and they tell me this is how they do it at the therapists office.

Yes, buying a car off of color chips can result in a very unpleasant surprise--as this person found out---witness this poor attempt to capture the essence of British Racing Green by the Germans a while back.

My rule of thumb is the best color combo's for a particular model are usually used in the advertising literature. So if you don't have the opportunity to see the particular combination you want in the flesh, you may want to reconsider if you don't see it in the sales literature.
Wow, that was pretty good! Due to the fact that I am in the mountains surrounded my rocks and dirt in the middle of no where....my internet is a bit intermittent. So I am direct. Sometimes I do not take into consideration my audience, so I will elaborate more and be more, hmmm, civilian, even though I am one. My beautiful RRS Lux should be waiting for me when I get back!

All in fun Sgtt45 :D . Congrats on your new purchase!

...and if you get the chance to post some photo's of it in its natural environment of rocks and dirt please do so. :thumb:

+1 Sgtt45
Spotted on the LR dealership showroom floor in Rancho Mirage, CA yesterday - 2011 Izmir Blue HSE Lux with Ivory/Ocean Alcantara. The combo didn't really grab me. Still plenty of '10's on the lot.
