Installed trailer tow bar/receiver on my 2011 full size Range Rover l322 s/c today. Not a lot of fun but not terrible either. Did not have to remove rear tail lights. I did have to remove the stowage trays on either side of the spare tire to access the nuts for the bumper bar. Here are some pictures.

I went the other way round. Removed a tow bar, yes not fun at all. It's probably even worse having to install one as removal is always easier than installation. I was just surprised at how heave it was and how much crap needed to be unbolted to get it out. Bumper, bumper bar, stowage lids, exhaust mounts.
