2010's are starting to show up...

at least in Houston. No supercharged ones yet. Went to my dealer and they didn't have any, but did have an LR4. The interior is freaking awesome! If the RRS shares parts with the LR4, I'm going to be getting one. Test drove a supercharged RR and even with all the extra hp, I could barely detect that it was faster. New electronics were impressive though, but the LR4 was almost as good.

Thanks Texas911! We don't have any new 2010 Sports or LR4's as I know yet in Wisconsin. Just a few 2010 FFRR HSE's, though I know our Appleton dealer already sold a Supercharged Full Size. If any of you try them, some of us would really enjoy reading what you have to say about them. I'm pumped about these things! My fam actually went to the release party of the 2010's this past Friday. My dad and brother said the seats were much more comfortable in the Sport than previous years. He said he liked them more than his '08 FFRRSC seats. He's ordering a Supercharged sometime here soon. They also said that 5-camera system is excellent and that little TFT screen between the guages is a very nice touch. Please people, write what you think!
I have seen both the LR4 and the 2010 RRS. Plan to buy one or the other come spring. Leaning towards keeping my sport which now has 107K on the clock and dealing my FSRR (2000) for a new LR4.
Put a down payment this week on a 2010 RRS HSE Lux. $5000 down and should arrive in Honolulu sometime in October. Only 2010 model in the showroom this week was a RR. No RRS yet in Hawaii. First RRS should arrive soon. The dealer had 3 RRS on it's shipment list for the next two months. Two were already reserved.
Seems to me that the LR deals in jersey have them all in showrooms now and are having them for test drives. I went to the LR Paramus dealer here in jersey 2 weeks ago, they had a gray one in the showroom which i must say looked really good. I love the tweaks they've made on the outside and its definitely true that it does look better in person. On saturday they had them for test drives, and even thou i did not have a RRS before, the '10 one was a much better ride than the '09 i test drove a couple of months ago. This time they had a black one, which i think was really nice and i might get. It was the LUX version (what the lux version is for the ones that dont know, its a upgraded interior package for 3k or something like that, but definitely worth it). I definitely will be getting the '10 RRS HSE one very soon, im just trying to decide what color looks the best on it. So far from the gray one and the black one, i like the black one, but the black had had a almond interior with a light wooden trim which to me looked really cheap. The gray one had a black interior with a dark wooden trim which in my opinion was a lot better. So im just trying to see them in person and figure out which color to choose from, the dealer said he is getting a black on black one on tuesday which i will check out, but not sure how that will look. Also, anyone that is interested in getting a RRS this month, go to edmunds.com, and you can see the latest incentives. There is a manufacturer to customer incentive this month for $3500 cash back which the dealer had no clue about. Also there is a $1500 incentive manufacturer to dealer if the customer finances the car through Chase. So if you were planning on financing the car through chase, like me, I will see if i can work out a deal between the dealer and me to split the $1500 incentive between me and them.

and if anyone has any suggestions for the RRS '10 colors, please let me know. Im looking into getting the black one and not sure of the interior colors. I did not like the black one with the almond interior and a light wooden trip, to me it looked cheap. Anyone has any suggestions, please post.
It looks like your Edmunds article says the $3500 is only for leases of Rovers or something similar, and you are right about the $1,500 through Chase. I wonder if the Chase thing works through trade-in. Hmmm. Only if you lease a luxury SUV, can you get the $3,500. I got a little excited there, but now realize $1,500 is $1,500. I hope that works with an '08 FFRRSC.
I just bought an 06 a month ago and am starting to think about buying a 2010 .. I saw one and all I can say is wow! I am going to drive one ASAP. I would love the S/C .. just can't afford the extra 14K. I hope the 285/35/22 tire still works on the new HSE and the bolt pattern is the same. Would it be appropriate to make a thread about what people are actually paying? I am really thinking about this hard! On the other hand, I owned a 99 Disco 2 (first year of the II) .. worst truck I have ever owned by far!
Weatherman it says "purchase or lease"

"Restrictions $3,500 is available to current Lesses of a qualified Land Rover or Eligible competitive vehicle towards the purchase or lease of a new 2010 Range Rover Sport. Can be combined with special APR or Nonsubvented lease. See your local dealer for complete details.
Comments Dealer participation may vary. Incentives and Rebates are provided subject to the terms of our Visitor Agreement."

correct me if I'm understanding this wrong, but this is what a former land rover salesman told me about cause he isnthe one that went on the site and read it to me and told me about the rebate.
Sorry about the lease thing. You know what though, that's just excellent because we're paying cash for ours! A free $3,500! Plus, if I'd finance through Chase and pay it off immediately, that adds up to $5,000! Great incentive! Now I have to buy it before September 30th. It's on a trade in from a '08 FFRRSC. Sorry about my mistake. Doesn't it sound like I could do this? (Save $5,000?) Bali Blue S/C with ebony interior. Stormer wheels, HD Radio, surround camera, roof rack, hitch kit, mud flaps. Bam. Done.
You got me worried for a second, i thought i was reading it wrong. Well at least I hope that they accept it, I know they are very tight with brand new models that are just showing up right now.
Are you sure those cash amounts are for the 2010? I would have thought those specials would be for the 2009's to get them off the lots.
Ok, so I just got back from another RRS '10 test drive, went mainly to see the different colors and asked the salesman about the incentives. The $3500 is still good but unfortunately its only good if you're trading in a car or lease. He said the purpose of that of course is to get rid of your current car and get you in the new one. So that sucks for me since i am not trading anything back in. Now, the $1500 incentive for manufacturer to dealer, he said that they can work some kind of deal with me if i do decide to go with chase financing. Ill see what he gets back to me about, but im pretty sure if it came down to the wire of buying the car or not, i dont think they would mind giving up that deal to the customer so they can sell the car. So thats the deal in the '10 incentives for now. Another disappointment for me right now was that the salesman said that noone of the RRS '10 have come out with the 360 camera option which I really wanted to get. Apparently they have not shipped out due that the lack of inventory apparently to the camera manufacturer, and he said it might take another 4-8 weeks until they ship those out -if anyone has seen one with all the cameras, please let me know. So 2 bummers for me. And my biggest bummer is that i dont know which color to get yet. I loved the black interior, so i saw one today thats black on black and i gotta say it it look good.

So HOW DID IT DRIVE?
Hmmm.... I definitely have to say that the ride was smoother and better in the '10 one than the '09 one, even thou the dealer said that there weren't any changes in the suspension. I thought that it was a pretty good ride on the streets, i don't think it was mind blowing, but then again, i cant really answer this since I did not own a previos RR, I come from a BMW background, so i've gotta say that its not as good as a BMW ride, so don't all come down on me now because i think i still will get the RR because of the exterior looks and the interior upgrades. How would i rate the drive personally on a 1-10 scale on the streets, i probably would give it a 7.5 / 8 out of 10
360 cameras have definitely been delayed. I ordered my 2010 RRS in June and they called me in July to ask if I wanted to wait an additional 6 months for the 360 camera. I said no way. After playing with it on a demo model they had, I'm glad I didn't get it. I can't imagine ever using it...

Those surround cameras could be real useful off-road. Instead of guessing how far that rock is from my fender, I could actually see it on the monitor, no spotter required. That would be pretty cool. Otherwise, they do seem a bit of overkill technology.

I read somewhere that the first 2010 models will also lack satellite navigation directions showing up on the TFT display (in addition to the touchscreen) between the gages in the instrument cluster. That's a planned feature but for some odd reasons it's not ready yet. I wouldn't bet on it being implemented via software at a later date, either.
****, so you're saying it's not worth it waiting for the"360" cameras? I thought of waiting a month and hopefully they will arrive but I guess it might take longer. Not really sure now if it's worth the wait... Been itching for a RRS '10. I just wish the dealers had more in stock with different colors and interiors.
Wow, thanks for the $5k inventive lead. Any chance that could be applied to vehicles ordered this month, but not arriving until a few months later?

As far as colors, I'm currently leaning toward the black exterior and arabica interior. I think it looks sharp in pictures, but wish I could see it in person. I'm going to go test drive an ivory interiored one tomorrow.

That's bad news about the camera, I was planning to get that too. Although I don't plan to tow, I agree that it seems like a good thing for off-road to minimze the need for spotting.
