2010 Supercharged. About 60k miles. Been getting an odd and very slight noise I can hear at idle (outside the truck, can't hear it inside). No warning lights or anything. Sort of a slow clunk-clunk-tick-tick-clunk-clunk. Worse when cold out. It sounds "expensive" but I tried to make a video with my iphone... audio just wouldn't pick up from the iphone mic unfortunately. It's rhythmic and gets faster if you rev the engine.

Does anyone have a good knowledge of what the supercharger sounds like when it fails? Read about supercharger and/or timing chain issues on the 2010/2011's. Wondering if I should take it in ? (It's still under CPO warranty)

If it's going tick tick tick tick and the sound is coming from under the hoot at the front of the engine then it is the fan clutch. I had the same sound. If the sound sounds like it's coming from inside the engine then you're right, it will be expensive.
