Just picked up a 2010 Supercharged yesterday (custom ordered it several months ago)- Vehicle is impressive in the whopping 40 miles I've put on it so far.

I will post my well deserved raves after I've had time to drive it some more. However, Immediate rants are:

NAVIGATION- I am shocked that entering new destination information and other features are disabled while the care is in motion! I know the Nav unit is Japanese, but the lock-out must be an English "feature" since no car I've owned has refused to accept input while in motion since my 2000 Jaguar. Looks like there were hacks available for previous generation navigation systems- Does anybody know of a hack for the current generation system?

AUDIO- I have the optional upgraded zillion watt audio system. Got concerned last night while playing with it in my garage since I was able to max out the volume without really hurting my ears-- apparently it is a power saving feature as I was using it without the engine running. Played with the system today while actually driving and it is definately LOUD. Audio quality is excellent using an IPOD and unexceptional with the FM and Sirius radio. I only see basic settings for treble, bass, and subwoofer. Was surprised to not see more equalizer controls (unless I havent found the menu)- also, the Logic 7 is either "on" or "off"- other cars seem to typically have preset settings for different simulated listening (concert hall, etc). Only tried the Bluetooth for a couple calls and am concerned that there is static (from the Bluetooth connection, not the cell network).

I admit that I have not read the user manuals at all yet- so it is possible I am missing something.

I've enjoyed reading the forum while I was shopping for the truck and awaiting delivery. Finally signed up to make this posting. The "CAPTCHA" entry for this site is by far the most difficult/ ridiculous to figure out. Ticket Master's CAPTCHA is a close 2nd in making it nearly impossible for its customers to use its site.

Had my 2010 SUPERCHARGED for about a month. Every thing you have noted in your vehicle is the same in mine. I too would like to hack the NAV to allow input while driving. I would also like to not have to press the agree button each time (all nav systems have this though). I also got the 1200Watt system. I listened to the regular system and found this one worth the money. I have replaced a few of the drivers and it is even better.

The phone/Bluetooth system on my car is fairly good. I have an iPhone and it seems to be quit compatible.

My 6 series BMW's Logic 7 has the concert and other settings, but this one sounds much better

Had the air bag recall taken care of at the dealer....major headache. Total of 3 days at the shop to have the entire software system reworked and had to have 2 new keys shipped from New Jersey as the keys that came with the car are not able to work with the system the dealer has to work on the software! There are 2 other software upgrades available for the car already.

After your 500 mile break in (mine has 878 miles) press the right petal to the floor boards and you will know why you bought this car!

Read the owners manual...its worth the time. The nav system can do some things with voice comands, but not enough.

Whats your color....Mines Impanema sand/Arabica..Wood steering wheel, Burl Walnut, 1200 WATT Took about 3 months to get after ordering

In America its hard to have the nav system changed.
Mind you, that is not a hack but a market configuration. You guys and all the lawsuits.....
With a pretty pretty pretty friendly dealer you could ask him to change it and allow on move navigation entering.

When I bought my car, a 2007 TDV8, the dealer asked me if I was able to input destinations on the move. I said yes and he said ok, fine, no need to change it....
About the agree button, i'm stuck.......and so are you...

But as I said, it's a dealer thing. Mine is a nice one. I don't even have the safety belt beeps, just the light....

My color combo, which I special ordered, is:

Santorini Black exterior
Sand seating
Jet carpet
American cherry wood trim

Worth the wait- it looks VERY sharp.

Funny you mentined that you have a BMW 6 series- my other car is a 650 convertible (also went for a specific color combo with that car- mineral silver metallic with the GRAY convertible top). I cant say that the "premium" audio in that car is anything to rave about either, but what a great handling car.

I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX at a vacation home (from which I just returned from) and it is my firm opinion that audio system in that car- at least in terms of the quality of the FM and Satellite radio, is the best quality of any car I have owned. Satellite music channels sound so much more clear/ less compressed. It has the Northstar V8 and drives pretty good as well.
