The Weatherman,
What's the latest on the delivery of your Dad's Bali Blue RRS? You know we're all expecting THE definitive review on the '10 RRS from you once that comes in. :thumb:

Yeah, I've been a little hesitant to post anything since Goose, "lit me up" a bit, but thought you guys would appreciate the video. And yes, I will give you one heck of a comprehensive review after I get to drive it for some time. I think I missed my calling as an automotive editor/journalist.

Anyway, the order was in last October. (Was still under the impression that it went in at the end of last August, but that's beside the point.) The build date is Feb. 19th with an estimated delivery at the end of March. Since we had a build date, we talked to our dealer's manager to see if this time we could add on the Around View Cameras. He called up LR to ammend the order, and found there was still problems equipping the cars with this system. Oh well. One camera should be plenty.

That drag race video made me a little more antsy than I already was. What I found different than most comparos so far was the inclusion of the Infiniti FX50s. I always wanted to see how this machine stacked up since I drive one (only the V-6 model though.) Boy, that 6,000 lb. beast took care of the FX with ease! Really impressive. On that note, letting you know that we all can get the automotive glitch here or there, I made a quick vid yesterday of my broken nav screen on my FX. It's been in 3 times for it, and now has to have the whole dash pulled an re-wired because the whole wiring harness is supposed to be to blame. About 1/2 way through I fix it, temporarily, with a little "muscle."

Enjoy your sweet rides guys. I'll have pics and the whole 9 yards when it comes in.

Yup, pretty much what we should expect from BMW and Porsche. Both those models they tested are over $100K, the Porsche, well over. But I'd like to see how those two do against the RRS off road.

It would be nice to see someone put an off road competition with those cars. Id don't think the other manufacturers would like the embarrassment. If I do find it I will most defiantly post it.

they should've tested the vehicles in the same approx price range....instead of the cayenne turbo it should've been the cayenne GTS or cayenne S.....testing the turbo doesnt make any sense its nearly 30k more in price........and also the bmw M is 20k more in price they should've instead tested the regular BMW 4.4L...those both would've been in the same price range as the RRS S/C and would've been a much better test rather then putting it heads up with vehicles that cost 20-30k more and for that cost you could get alot more power and "looks" out of your RRS....or with that cash you could even buy a secondary vehicle lol
