I have question (and I did a search of past posts already) regarding my blackberry which I think is a tour. Phone is only 5mo's old, it's Verizon service. It synced first time I set it up with handsfree when I took dlv of vehicle. But now if I have phone, which is now set for bluetooth on, and enter vehicle, hit phone button on dash, and get no phone msg on screen. The only way I was able to get it to work again is to turn off the phone and turn back in order to have it sync. Is there either a function on Blackberry or something in the vehicle setttings, that allows auto-sync? ps I absolutely love this SUV. Today I had the escort 9500ci radar/laser installed. They installed the small function/power unit in my ashtray, leaving lighter intact. The door to ashtray still works as the control unit is that small. The actual escort display is etched into my rearview mirror, and there isa USB connection and seperate speaker located out of the way under the dash on driver's side. Very stealth installation. Anyone in fairfield county ct area who needs stereo or radar stuff done look up Group in Stamford on Crescent drive. Looking fwd to getting blasted with laser gun on rte 95 and seeing how this thing compares to my last car's. I am most likely going to have these guys to s complete overall of my stereo. Change out speakers, add stealth sub, add power, and still have stock speaker grills and full factory functionality thru stock stereo controls on NAV screen. Will keep u posted. Cost of radar/laser was aprox 2k. Stereo upgrade is in ballpark of 4-5k so will need to decide if i really need it. They did another customer's and I may end up getting a sample of how it sounds in person before pulling trigger.

With the Bluetooth it could be one of two things:

1. Whenever you first pair anything to a Blackberry, the next time the Blackberry connects it comes up with a menu on the screen asking if you want the device to pair automatically. If you missed this then you have to start again. Go into the Bluetooth on the Blackberry and delete the car. Re-pair the device with the car. Power off the Blackberry and then back on. You should see the “Automatically Pair” question on the screen of the Blackberry. Click the “Don’t ask me again" box and then select “Yes”.

2. It is a software issue in the Blackberry. Go on the internet and find the latest version of software for the unit (not the desktop). Download and install it. Make sure you back the unit up first just in case.

My wife's blackberry had a setting that she had to specify ... something like "reconnect every time" - she was having the same issue as you until she flipped that switch. I've got an iPhone and if I leave bluetooth on in the phone, it recoonects each time.

One other thing to note is that if there are more than one bluetooth device in the car, it always connects with the last one that was connected.

Great feedback. Will try to update software after attempting the re-sync. I was getting the question from blackberry first few times I connected. Sounds like I may have missed a step because the blackberry no longer asks nor does it sync. Will report back.

Thanks for the very helpful information. I did not have to download any new software for the Blackberry. It required, as instructed, to turn of bluetooth on phone and when re-synching clicking the box that said never ask me again. This Forum is so helpful. Oh yeah, did I mention I absolutely LUV this vehicle! I never thought I'd be able to get over my 911 C4S, but this thing is so much more comfortable to drive, and the HP and torque are so sweet.
