today it did it again

it just started acting like some invisible finger was touching it and moving the map around, it definately had the targetting reticle in the middle so it was responding to some phantom touch

the only thing i can think of was that there was bright sunlight hitting the screen but no one touched it

anyone else have this problem?

Don't know if this might help fixing your touchscreen with a mind of its own (doesn't sound like it), but the attached bulletin just came out on TOPIx, and it addresses infotainment system lockups on 2010-2011 models, so I thought I'd share it with others who recently had intermittent problems with no audio from their 2010 RRS.

Incidentally, this is also the procedure a dealer would more or less need to follow when updating map data in 2010+ hard-drive based navigation systems. Definitely not a DIY project, unlike the good old days when you would just purchase a DVD and slide it in the drive under the seat whenever new data discs became available from Navteq. /:(
