I just bought my Rover last week and already I've taken it in When I shut the door or start the car the rear cargo light stays on? Just to clearify... I'm talking about the small lights attached to the rear hatch and the one single light located in the cargo area on the right side if your looking in from the rear? I took it and they said it was fixed and when i picked it up it did that same thing ( I dont think they even checked it after they put the new latch in). Has this happened to anyone else? What was the fix? Thanks for looking.

Perhaps the upper door latch is loose or not correctly installed; do you get a kind of message like tailgate open?

NO. nothing. The dealer replaced the latch and its still stays on

It was a pinched wire coming off the harness that plugs into the rear latch, it was groundinging causing it to stay on.
