I am looking to purchase a '07 Range Rover for around 40k with 40k miles.http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/ctd/1575596639.html. I know the RR I kind of problematic but how bad are they? Just look to get the extended warranty from Land Rover? How much did you guys pay for it? Looks like the previous owner of the car painted the body panels the same color as the rest body, how good to you think that will hold up? Thanks for the info guys. Hope I can be a RR owner soon!!

The 2007 through 2009 became quite reliable. I have had 2 with 0 problems. Get a good warranty just in case.
This car is a great deal in my opinion and I love the custom paint. They also added the supercharged grill and side vents. It is also a loaded HSE with the luxury package and RSE which makes a nice difference. When I saw this car I had an urge to buy it for my wife :)

As for problems, these cars aren't perfect. I had a head gasket blow on my 2007 but that was the only problem (however it left me stranded). My '08 has been problem free.

Keep in mind the acquisition cost is just one cost. The maintenance and repair costs can be quite substantial.

My opinion, buy it tomorrow!
Thanks for the info guys. How can you tell if the RR has the luxury pkg?
Nice car buy it and get the wheels powder coated black/Grey :thumb:

By the seats & trim. These boys live eat and drink RR, so they can spot the details a mile away.
The easiest two ways I can think of to spot the Luxury Package on a 2007 RR is (1) wood in the center console area along the shifter and cup holders, and (2) the controls for heated/cooled seats on either side of clock (clock is all alone with "non"-luxury RR).

In the UK that's part of the difference between Vogue and Vogue SE.
