2006 RR Sport- Horn honk when locking

I have had my RR Sport for a few months. For the first time yesterday, it honked when I pressed the lock button on the key fob. Should it always honk? I was alarmed, thinking something was wrong.

It can be set for on or off. If it has never honked before then something may have registered as open. When you opened the door was there any message like " hood open"? That is then most popular for alarm false faults when locking or alarms going off for no reason. The hood closed switch wears out.
Wow, you were spot on. It did display hood open (it was not open). Thank you!
I get a little spotty between generations and models. Most folks just disconnect it. Here's where I don't remember if you simply disconnect the two wire connecter or if you jumper the two contacts at the harness.

The hood switch is relatively cheap... appx $35. Installs in the right hood latch if you want to replace it.
Hello, how do you set it for "on". I want my 2006 Sport but I can't figure out how?

THanks

Buy RoverBabe16's broken hood switch. ;)
