Hey All - I'm new to the board...just picked up a CPO 2006 RR. I've set up an appointment with the dealer to see if I can get a new steering wheel due to delaminating. Does anyone know if they will replace exterior door handles that are fading/slight peeling?

very nice - congrats. is that the luxe seating package? also it looks like the speedo and tach are green. are they? not sure about the handles - good luck with THAT!

Good luck with the dealership. Assuming your Rover is within the warranty period/mileage, they might replace them. Depends on the dealership & your relationship with them. The issues you listed seem to be pretty common, we all have the door handle issue & some have seen the steering wheel delamination dillema.
Do a search using the search tool at the top of the page to look for each of these & you'll find existing dialgue on them.
Any questions you may have were likely already discussed, this forum has goads of helpful info for the MkIII range Rover.

It doesn't have the lux package. The gauges look green due to the camera flash.....they really are normal!

Looks just like mine - 06 HSE in Zermatt? Mine has the heated seats package and the rear seat entertainment. How many miles and what did you pay?

Yes, it is zermatt. No rear TVs though... what is this, pimp my ride? Won't be having any 24"s either.

I asked the dealership the same question when I purchased my 06 RR. While I was shopping a different dealerships I noticed a common theme on the used RR. Peeling and fading door handles. Luckily the one I purchased had only slight peeling on the driver's door handle only and I asked the service rep if they would be replaced under warranty. Answer was no but the door handles are cheap to purchase and I don't know the difficulty of replacing them.

Thanks for the site. I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow, I'll post up the verdict to let you all know how it goes...

I just bought a 06RR HSE also, and my door handles are not in good shape; however, I found thorough the internet a supplier of OEM door handles that are CHEAP!
It is www.roverconnection.com and they are $140 for the 4 doors.
they also have the steering wheels spoke trims for $40!!!!

congrats on the Rover! Im jealous that you own a Range Rover in Colorado (mountain passes, twisty scenic roads). I own one in Florida and it sucks! LOL

Keep an eye on your door panel armrest for any bubbling of the material. I had an 06' that didnt have the LUX pkg and it started doing that. Also, let me know how it goes with the steering wheel issue. I took mine to the dealer and they wouldnt replace it.

It's the labor on the door handles that costs a grip!

The dealer is replacing my wheel under warranty, but they said no to the door handles...
