Im new to the forum, just purchased the range rover. Ive got a quick problem, I can not get the DVD player to play upfront while in park, or even when the car is off and only radio is on. Im sort of frustrated and can not figure it out??????????

Put your location in your profile. DVD display on the front screen varies by location. In North America I believe DVD playback is disabled on the front screen. I have an 06 with DVD playback enabled while parked or driving on the front screen through a hardware modification but I did it 4 years ago right when I bought it and can't remember if it played on the front screen while in park before the mod. There is more information on this, do a search.

most likely you don't have the cable fromthe rear seat controller to the front screen hooked up. As it was not an option for USA.

Now if you want it to play in motion up front after you install the cable, then you need a video in motion module...

Have you tried applying the parking brake when also in park?

The 2006 RSES in North America was not wired for video to the front touchscreen monitor so no image will display (even when parked!), an idiotic "safety" decision made by LRNA. They eventually came to their senses and I think started allowing DVD video on the front touchscreen while parked on MY08s and later.

Yeah, it doesnt work on the 2006. I struggled with that when I first got mine.
