Ok. So I'm coming from the Disco 2. And have an 06 l322. I don't see a Cdl. What do I need to do to make this thing ready for overland adventure mechanically? Running RSW 4dcan for lift and 255 55r20 all terrains. Does the 2006 have a computer controlled center dif lock or something? Anyone out their fit a rear locker? I feel like such a newbie.

I used to take my 2005 on trails, it’s very similar to the 2006. I did not do anything to it besides some Pirelli ATRs in stock 255/55/19 form. It was incredibly capable, it did not have a rear locker, and could still get up basically anything, from sand to mud to rocks.

I believe the CDL is automatic, but someone will have to correct me.

The L322 is terrifically capable by itself, with all of the computers replacing the manual thinking in an L318 Disco.

I have an 06 SC L322. Incredible off-road on anything except deep mud.

I'm 99% sure you couldn't get the electronic locking rear diff in the 06, but 07-09 had it as an option, and it shows up on your ride height screen.
