About a week ago I started noticing a metal clanking/grinding noise that used to only happen after the vehicle was sitting overnight. Now it seems to happen anytime the vehicle has sat for a couple of hours. It is definitely coming from the engine bay but I am not sure where. I saw on thread about this but it was on the BMW engine and they talked about some things that my engine doesn't appear to have, i.e. Vanos, oil filter housing. I was wondering if it is something in the starter, or if the oil pressure is dropping and it takes a couple of seconds to build up. Maybe its a lifter. The sound only last 1 or 2 seconds, and then everything is fine. I will try and do a video of the noise to upload on to youtube so that everyone can understand what I am talking about. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
