Hey all, new to this forum and also a new RR owner! I have a 2005 RR HSE with an interesting radio setup. Now, maybe I haven't searched hard enough, but I cannot find anyone with a similar type of radio setup to mine. Someone in the vehicles past life decided they didn't like the OEM radio. There is an aftermarket single din deck located in the glove box where the CD changer was before. The OEM display has power but thats about it. Just displays the land rover emblem and the power button light flashes. In the rear there is a big obnoxious box with two blown 12 inch subs and an amp to power them (removing as soon as I find a good dumpster). Also, on the drivers side, the rear compartment where it looks like the original amplifier is located there is another aftermarket amplifier for all the speakers. If anyone has ever heard of something similar or done something similar, I would like to reverse this install. When I want to adjust the volume I have to open the glove box and lean over to turn the knob, extremely annoying. I just want to be able to use the OEM head unit again. I dont mind using the amplifier that was installed for the speakers as it looks to be professionally done. But the OEM head unit seems to have some important information on it, and a volume adjustment on the dash or wheel, not in the glove box!
Thanks in advance! I will snap some photos later and post them up!

Your only hope of getting the factory unit up and running is to ditch bodge job installed. Factory unit is not that great so I understand the concept. There are aftermarket kits available that use the existing real estate and wiring.
