Hi, Our Range Rover has a terrible squeak from the rear suspension which is very loud when driving down the road hitting any pot holes or humps etc.

Is this a common issue at all and could someone please point me to what this could be? (if its a common issue).

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

At 14 years old your bushings, front and rear, are most likely original and worn out. You can spray them down with silicone spray and see if the squeaking subsides.

The bushings have lubrication inside them which is sealed with a bladder type oil seal. When this dries out, game mostly over. Some on here have injected them with a hypo needle to replace lost lubricant as a temp measure. Of interest is that ours squeaked like an old bedspring for years and are now quiet. I have spares but have not had the courage to tackle them yet as they have been a lower priority on the repair list. At least a good tool set to press out out the bushings will be required. My brother tooled some for me but I have yet to try them.
